While the preliminary testing would be carried out as an extension of the configuration or setup itself by the infrastructure teams (in conjunction with the service delivery teams), the Technology And Infrastructure Lead, working with the tower leads, must specifically plan for user acceptance testing.
Technology and infrastructure testing would typically include, testing the connectivity to the infrastructure (e.g. desktop, VPN, network), testing if access is working, the portal is up and ready for use, ITSM workflows are as intended.
The Technolgy And Infrastructure Test Plan needs to be aligned with the Knowledge Exchange Plan, so that teams can execute Knowledge Exchange as per plans, since access to various portals and the network play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition of services.
As part of this planning the Technology And Infrastructure Lead must ensure that:
-
User acceptance test (UAT) scenarios are identified
-
Testing scenarios are signed off by stakeholders
-
Appropriate test scripts are developed
-
Test scripts are refined whenever applicable
-
Test scripts and UAT test plan are baselined and signed-off by stakeholders. |
